Mission EDC CEO to serve four years

Alex Meade, CEO of the Mission Economic Development Corporation has recently been sworn into the Texas State Technical College System Board of Regents. In his role, Meade will help provide state-wide perspective and leadership to the 10-campus TSTC system. With headquarters in Waco, TSTC has its local campus in Harlingen.

Mead will serve through 2021 on the nine-member board which meets quarterly, The board provides leadership and enacts policies for the management and operation of the campuses.

Meade says he looks forward to getting to work alongside his fellow board members and the students, faculty and leaders of TSTC.

“TSTC is an excellent educational institution system that provides value to the State of Texas with its innovative, technical education and quality, well-trained graduates,” said Meade. “I’ve watched over the years TSTC meet the challenges of today’s Texas workforce, and consider it a privilege to be able to serve on the board of such a well-respected organization. I am very thankful to Governor Abbott’s leadership, and I appreciate him naming me a regent.”

Meade has served as Mission EDC’s CEO since 2011. He is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional by the National Development Council and as a Certified Public Manager by the National Certified Public Manager Consortium.
