The McAllen Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the McAllen Top 5 Small Business Awards. Winning nominees receive recognition from the chamber as the best of the best businesses in McAllen.
In order to compete, a business must complete a Top 5 Small Business Awards application, as well as provide documentation supporting their claim as one of McAllen’s finest businesses. Businesses must also be a member of the McAllen Chamber of Commerce.
Nominated businesses must:
- Consist of no more than 200 employees to qualify as a small business
- Have establishment prior to 2014
- Have a consistent record of employment in the last two years
- Experience a steady increase in sales over the last three years
- Demonstrate consistent community involvement in the last two years
- Improved or expanded its product and/or services through expansion and/or innovation
- Operate a location in the McAllen area
The Top 5 Small Business Awards take place Oct. 17 at the Old Church Winery. Deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m. Aug. 16.
