Veterans Symposium Focuses on Entrepreneur Training

National Small Business Week 2017Multiple sessions offered throughout day to aid veterans

In honor of National Veterans Small Business Week, the U.S. Small Business Administration Lower Rio Grande Valley District Office is hosting a series of entrepreneur training focused on veterans business development skills Nov. 3.

The Veterans Opportunity Symposium, held in collaboration with the UTRGV Veterans Business Outreach Center, includes multiple sessions and panels from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Schedule for the day is:
10-10:15 a.m. – Introduction and Welcoming Speech
10:20-11:20 a.m. – Session 1 (Franchising Opportunities and The Many Hats of Small Business Owners)
11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Lunch with guest speaker Maurice Welton of Edible Arrangements
12:40-1:40 p.m. – Session 2 (Agriculture Business Opportunities and Introduction to Financial Statements)
1:45-3:45 p.m. – Session 3 (Financing Panel)
