Now that Congress has passed the new tax code, now is the time to look at how changes effect both you and your business. The McAllen Chamber of Commerce presents a “Breakfast & Learn” discussion on the new bill with partners of Burton McCumber & Cortez LLP Jan. 19. The seminar will review the highlights of the changes to the tax code and its impact.
Things to know before the bill becomes law are:
- Significant changes to individual and corporate tax rates
- Individual provisions expiring by the end of 2025, but most of the corporate provisions will be permanent
- The elimination of personal exemptions, caps state and local tax deductions
- Eliminating the mandate for personal health insurance, plus much more.
“How Will the Tax Reform Affect Me?” takes place from 8-9:30 a.m. at the McAllen Chamber, 1200 Ash Ave. Attendance carries a $15 fee for McAllen Chamber members, $20 for non-members.
